HOLIDAY VISAS WITH WORK
The program for tourists on holidays with work requires two
types of visa: Work holiday visa (Subclass 417) and Work and vacation visa
(Subclass 462), depending on your country of residence.
If you want to participate in the program for tourists on
vacation with work from Australia, you must apply for a visa before arriving.
These types of visa allow you to stay and work in Australia in all types of
full-time, part-time, casual, shift and volunteer work for up to 12 months. You
can leave and re-enter Australia as many times as you wish while your visa is
valid.
Also, you can study for up to four months in Australia in
addition to working during your vacations.
You must comply with certain health, characterological and financial
requirements and declare that you will respect Australian values and comply
with the laws of Australia before the visa is granted. In addition, you must
have in your possession the return flight ticket, a proof of purchase of a
future ticket or the money for a ticket to leave Australia. We also recommend
obtaining health insurance in your country.
The program for tourists on holidays with work is not
suitable for those seeking permanent employment or studying full-time in
Australia. If your main reason for coming to Australia is to seek employment or
study, you should consult for a business visa or a student visa, which will
best meet your needs.
Carefully read the requirements for obtaining a visa from
the Immigration and Border Protection Department of the Australian Government
to determine if you meet the requirements and obligations before applying for
it. A non-refundable payment is required when you submit your visa application.
